Florida foreclosure advocates have launched a statewide awareness campaign aimed at helping residents recover millions in surplus funds left behind after foreclosure auctions. The effort includes free consultations, public service announcements, and outreach to affected zip codes.
“We estimate over 10,000 households statewide could be owed funds and don’t know it,” said campaign coordinator Jerome Lucas. “Our goal is to make sure no one leaves money on the table.”
The campaign will focus first on Miami-Dade, Orange, Hillsborough, Duval, and Broward counties — Florida’s five foreclosure hotspots.
