Over $6.3 million in surplus funds from foreclosure sales remain unclaimed in Palm Beach County, according to public court records. These funds belong to former homeowners and heirs whose properties were sold at auction for more than the amount owed — but many have no idea the money exists.
“We speak to people every week who are shocked to learn they’re owed money,” said foreclosure outreach coordinator Melissa Reyes. “Palm Beach families are leaving thousands on the table.”
