Rachel Greene, a foreclosure defense attorney in Ohio, is calling on courts and legislators to address a critical gap in the foreclosure system: the lack of surplus fund notification.
“Most homeowners never hear about surplus funds because no one is legally required to tell them,” Greene said. “It’s not about greed — it’s about basic access.”
Her comments are part of Foreclosure Focus’s new “Voices & Perspectives” series, highlighting those working at the intersection of law, housing justice, and equity recovery.
