Tampa, FL – April 2025
A statewide audit revealed that more than $200 million in surplus funds from Florida foreclosure sales remain unclaimed by homeowners and heirs. These funds are legally owed to the original owners but often go undiscovered.
“This is not theoretical money — this is sitting in court accounts with real names attached,” said a recovery advisor.
Surplus lookup tools and claim support services are now being rolled out across major counties.
